The BEST place to be Seen, Wined and Dined in Tauranga The Phoenix is Tauranga’s newest home of Monteiths craft beer bar next to The Masonic Park. It has risen from the ashes of the most disastrous fire that occurred on The Strand. Well sort of.
In 1916, 11 shops, a Hotel and a timber yard were reduced to ashes. 96 years later, the area that you sit, housed the famous Horny Bull restaurant which also came crashing to the ground in a controlled demolition. Read more
